History of porcelain
Porcelain’s story begins in ancient China. Legend tells that during the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD), alchemists searching for the elixir of immortality discovered something timeless instead: a delicate, white kaolin clay that became the heart and soul of porcelain. Skilled artisans refined the craft, keeping production secrets closely guarded. Later, Chinese porcelain became highly sought after along the Silk Road, earning the nickname “white gold” in Europe.
In the early 18th century, German scientists Johann Friedrich Böttger and Ehrenfried Walther von Tschirnhaus discovered the European formula, leading to the founding of the Meissen manufactory in 1710 and the beginning of European porcelain production. Today, porcelain remains a hallmark of sophistication and elegance - prized for its beauty, practicality, durability, and heat resistance, making it a perfect canvas for culinary art.

Care instructions
Hand washing: Avoid washing too many items at once to prevent chipping or scratching. Do not use abrasive cleaners or rough cloths, especially on gold, platinum, or lustre decorations.
Dishwasher use: Our hand-painted porcelain should not be washed in dishwashers, as it may damage the design.
Oven use: Porcelain can go in the oven, but avoid sudden temperature changes. Never expose it to direct flame or rapid heat shifts.
Fridge & freezer: Porcelain can be refrigerated or frozen but should not go directly from cold to a hot oven.
Microwave use: Hand-painted items with gold or platinum must not be used in microwaves.
